UML - Assignment 9
For a really good guide on Unified Modeling Language (UML), I would like to redirect you to https://www.lucidchart.com/pages/what-is-UML-unified-modeling-language. It explains the basics and the difficulties of this language very well.
I used Visual Paradigm to create this Business Visualisation. You can find it here.
At first, it was a bit difficult to find my way in the tool, but once I found out how it worked, it was quite easy to use. It is perceived as one of the best UML tools available, but it is quite an expensive programme. I used the trial version, which has expires in about 30 days. Lucid Chart, the link I provided you with in the previous paragraph, seems to be a good replacement of Visual Paradigm and it comes with a cheaper price tag as well (so they say).

Reflection
Above, you see the assignment on UML. At first, it was quite difficult to start, because it is very important to really think where you want to start and where you want to end. My first three versions were therefore replaced by this one. The latter one gives a clear overview of the different steps you have to take. In the first version, some of my dead ends were in the middle of the ongoing process, which made it really unclear.
Especially in production environments, UML is used very much. These visual schemes give you a quick overview on what you need to do at what stage. It also gives you the opportunity to look back quickly if a step went wrong, as a sort of quality control. I am sure that we will see lots of these UML's in our future professional life.
